Sales Position Highlights
Primary Responsibilities:
Consider Solar Sales Consultants will work closely with potential and current customers helping them through the process of converting from traditional power usage to clean, cost-effective, solar energy. Consultants are vital in helping interested homeowners understand the importance of solar energy while proactively earning their business. Follow our 'Happy Customer Matters Most' approach to selling. Allow our team and systems to support you as you guide the customer from acquisition to close.
Here's a summary of your role:
Educate homeowners on the positive effects of solar energy
Know benefits inside/out, such as: energy cost savings, clean energy and worthwhile investment to increase home value
Market our solar partner's products and services and set up new customers
Capitalize on sales opportunities with warm-generated clients and supplement with personal leads and referrals
Adopt our 'Solar Will Change The World' mentality when presenting virtually or in-home
Available for a minimum of 20-hours per week
Requirements:
This is a wonderful industry that allows us to help homeowners & businesses save a lot of money and feel great about their contribution to a cleaner energy future. You can make a great living here because of our effective marketing, our sales approach and the great value proposition we get to offer our customers. Although we'd love to hire everyone interested in spreading our message, we must be very selective to be efficient and maintain our intended culture.
These are our basic requirements:
Must attend and pass applicable sales training
Be able to efficiently communicate proposals during in-home presentations
Willing to listen, learn, and be humble
Prior sales experience in home services is desired, but not required
Own a laptop or iPad for in-home presentations
Own a laptop or desktop computer with high-quality camera

Yes. Absolutely.

Do I have to be a homeowner to get paid?
No. You don't need to be a homeowner. Renters are potentially eligible as well.
We know that sounds weird since renters cannot purchase solar panels. However, our mission is to educate as many people as possible about the benefits of solar.
The way we see it:
Renters are future potential homeowners
Renters can connect us with their landlords
Renters also know homeowners and business owners
What determines my eligibility for payment?
To receive payment, you must:
Provide a recent electricity utility bill for the property in reference
Attend a solar consultation with a Consider Solar advisor (typically 45 mins)
Prior to scheduling the consultation, a Consider Solar representative will determine whether the property in reference is potentially well-suited for solar panels. If the address you provide is not likely to benefit from solar, we will notify you and a consultation will not be scheduled.
How do we know whether our property is potentially good for solar?
We encourage you to submit a quote request even if you aren't sure whether your property is well-suited for solar.
We'll quickly respond to let you know.
However, the short answer is: It's all about your ROOF'S SUN EXPOSURE.
Keep in mind that if the shade on the roof is caused by trees that could be removed or if you have enough yard space for a ground-mount system, there's still a strong possibility that solar could still make sense for you.
Oh yeah ... condos are unfortunately not eligible.
How much will we get paid?
Payments are as follows:
$10 - Eligible renters
$50 - Eligible homeowners
$100 - Commercial building owners
When/How will we get paid?
Payments are issued the same day you attend the solar consultation, if completed before 2:00pm EST and next business day, if after 2:00pm EST.
Payments will be sent to the property in reference, unless otherwise agreed upon.
Is any purchase required to get paid?
Absolutely not.
These are 100% free consultations with no-obligation to move forward on any plans. You will find us to be easy to talk to with no high-pressure tactics.
What happens next?
Once you submit your quote request, you will be re-directed to page with instructions and the option to book an appointment on our calendar.
Either way, someone will contact you within 24 hours to confirm a few things with you and establish your property's eligibility.
