However, if you want to get paid for your referral, we will need your contact information. That is what becoming a Referral Partner is about.

To receive payment, you must first become a Referral Partner.

If you opted for the INSTALLATION referral program, you get paid when your referred individual:

• Gets their solar panels installed through a Consider Solar Advisor

If you opted for the GET PAID REGARDLESS referral program, you get paid when your referred individual:

• Provides a recent electricity utility bill

• Attends a solar consultation with a Consider Solar advisor

Important to Note: If we determine that the property is not well suited for solar panels before the call, we will let the property owner know and there won't be a solar consultation.

Yes. In addition to proactively updating you via your preferred method of communication, you will be given access to a dashboard to keep track of all your referrals and payments.

If you opted for the GET PAID REGARDLESS referral program, you get paid $100 for each referral that attends a solar consultation with a Consider Solar advisor.

* Important note: Referrals that are pre-determined to not be well-suited for solar will not be eligible to attend a solar consultation.

If you opted for the INSTALLATION referral program, you get paid $250 for systems smaller than 4 KW, $500 for systems 4 - 8 KW and $1,000 for any system greater than 8 KW in size 

* Important note: Our customers' average system size is 12.4 KW

Our customers' average system size is 12.4 KW and we pay you $1,000 for referrals of any system greater than 8 KW in size.

So, the far majority of referral commissions we pay out are $1,000.

However, occasionally, we have customers who either don't need a big system because they don't consume a lot of electricity or their roof can't accommodate many panels.

Our revenue and commission on those smaller systems is a lot less and the only way to pay larger referrals commissions would be to increase their price.

We don't want that.

So, to protect our customers from overpaying we reduce our referral commissions to $500 for 4 - 8 KW systems and $250 for any systems smaller than 4 KW. 

* Side note: We've never installed a system smaller than 4 KW and < 7% of our installations are below 8 KWs.

If you opted for the GET PAID REGARDLESS program, payments are issued the same day your referrals attend the solar consultation, if completed before 2:00pm EST. If the consultation ends after 2:00pm EST, the payment will be sent the next business day.

If you opted for the INSTALLATION program, payments will be sent via an e-wallet within 14 days of your referrals getting their solar panels installed.

Your referral can complete the solar questionnaire to receive an initial solar proposal without speaking to a Solar Advisor. However, for you to receive credit for the referral & payment, they will eventually have to attend a solar consultation.

After submitting your referral, you will receive an email with instructions to gain access to your partner dashboard.
